Guru Gobind Singh jayanti: Narendra Modi and Rajnath Singh extends Greetings With Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti just around the corner, the DDMA will relax the curfew in Delhi over the weekend, allowing devotees to pray at Gurudwaras on Sunday. In a message on Sunday, Narendra Modi extended his greetings on the occasion of Guru Gobind Singh’s jayanti, the anniversary of the birth of the 10th Sikh Guru, and he said that millions of people can be inspired by the Guru’s life message.

Prime Minister Modi also tweeted pictures of his trip to Patna, Bihar and Says PM Modi, “Greetings on the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. His life and message give strength to millions of people. I will always cherish the fact that our Government got the opportunity to mark his 350th Parkash Utsav. Sharing some glimpses from my visit to Patna at that time.”

Rajnath Singh expressed his greetings to Guru Gobind Singh on the occasion of Prakash Parv on Sunday and praised him for his courage and compassion.

“I bow to Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji on his 355th Prakash Purab. He was an epitome of courage, compassion and magnanimity. His efforts to serve the downtrodden are widely respected across the world. Our society will remain indebted to his teachings and sacrifices.”

On 9 January this year, Guru Gobind Singh’s Prakash Parv will be observed. Guru Gobind Singh was the last Sikh guru in human form, born in Patna Sahib in Bihar as Gobind Rai. His father, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Guru, was martyred at the age of nine. He was enthroned at the Guru Gaddi at the age of nine. As a result of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has allowed devotees to offer prayers at Gurudwaras during the weekend curfew on Sunday.
