During the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the Madhya Pradesh government has announced that a barrack of Jabalpur Central Jail will be open to the public. During the British rule, Netaji was held in this barrack of Jabalpur Central Jail for six months. From 10 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. on Sundays, the barrack will remain open. A museum has been built here where items used by Netaji, such as his clothes and chains, letters written by him, and inscriptions related to his jail visit, can be seen. For people to reach the barracks, a separate route has been paved.
Why Is Only Granite Stone Idol Used?
Netaji’s statue at India Gate will be taller than any other statue of him. Jade Black Granite stone has been brought from Telangana for this project. The proposed statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at the India Gate in New Delhi would be 25 feet high and made of granite stone, according to Advait Gadnaik, director general of the National Museum of Modern Art in New Delhi. What is the purpose of only using granite stone idols? According to an official, this idol will be a unique example of sculpture made from only one granite stone. The stone was chosen in consideration of the strong image of Netaji.
