The Assam authorities on Monday
made the COVID-19 check obligatory for all passengers from the North-Eastern area coming into the state by airports and railway stations, an official order stated.
Earlier, folks from North-Eastern states who arrived in Assam by air or prepare and straight proceeded to their vacation spot state had been exempted from present process the COVID-19 check.
The determination was taken because of the rising quantity of COVID-19 circumstances within the neighbouring states, a notification issued by the Health and Family Welfare division stated.
It comes 5 days after the state authorities had made COVID-19 testing obligatory for vaccinated travellers, withdrawing its earlier order that exempted obligatory testing for totally vaccinated travellers arriving through air and prepare.
The obligatory testing might be relevant till additional orders, the notification stated.
